The Faces - (I Know) I'm Losing You - Live at the BBC 1971

The Faces at the BBC from the Sounds on Saturday programme shown in 1971. Arguably their best performance on TV. They show themselves as being a good, tight live band with bags of energy.

"(I Know) I'm Losing You" is a 1966 hit single recorded by The Temptations for the Gordy (Motown) label[1] and produced by Norman Whitfield.

"(I Know) I'm Losing You" was a 1970 version by Motown rock band Rare Earth for their Ecology album. Rare Earth's 10-minute recording was edited for single release and peaked at No. 7, one position higher than the Temptations' original on the U.S. pop charts.

Rod Stewart recorded a version in 1971 that was featured on his breakthrough album Every Picture Tells A Story. The single reached #24 on the Billboard Hot 100, credited as Rod Stewart and The Faces.

(I know) I'm losing you

Your love is fading

I can feel your love fading

Woman it's fading away from me

Cause your personal touch has grown cold

As if someone else controls your very soul

I fooled myself long as I can

I can feel the presence of another man

It's there when you speak my name

It's just not the same

Oh honey I'm losing you

Can feel it in the air

It's there everywhere

Oh I'm losing you

Can feel it in my bones

Any day you'll be up and gone

Oh I'm losing you

It's all over your face

Someone's taken my place

Could it be, that I'm losing you

When I look into your eyes

A reflection of a face I see

Oh lord, I'm losing you

I'm hurt, downhearted and worried girl

Cause that face doesn't belong to me

Your love is fading, can feel it fading

Oh away from me

Can feel it in the air, it's there everywhere

Ooh I'm losing you

I don't want to lose you, but I know I'm gonna groove ya

Ooh I'm losing you

Your love is fading, can feel it fading

Oh lord, I'm losing you
